Product

Products are buyable elements of the ALPA system. The "Product Status" describes the availability in more detail. Thus, "current products" is the designation for products from the regular ALPA range, whether they are in stock or are currently being produced. They are also distinguished by an article number and a sales price in CHF. ALPA equipment with the status "Upcoming Product" is planned but not yet available, while "Sold Out" indicates that these items are currently unavailable and that the reissue may depend on demand. Products with the status "Legacy" are discontinued and no longer in production. These statuses (and intermediate variants) are also used analogously for "Product Groups," "Product Types," and "Product Kits."

Product Group

A product group lists ALPA products with an identical primary attribute. Such a group may consist of all lenses with an aperture unit, all camera bodies with integrated movements, or all tripod attachment devices.

Product Kit

A product kit is a combination of products, forming suggested functional equipment, optimized for a given task or purpose. A product kit can consist of selected products favorable for architecture photography, macro stacking, travel, and reportage photography. Such a kit can also list ALPA products that fit best for using a 3rd party product, like a specific digital back. A product kit has an official ALPA kit code and an informative price sum of all components. It can also have an official ALPA article number and a special kit price.

Product Status

The "Product Status" describes the availability of a Product in more detail. Product Type

A product type describes one or several products sharing the same primary base product. Like all HR ALPAGON 32 mm lenses: The same elemental lens but various lens mounts and with different shutter types or aperture mounts. Such a product type may also be the versions of an ALPA camera or a 3rd party product.
All Products Types have aProduct Status

A Product Type primarily consists of Products, but can also make use of and other Product Types, which can stand for Product Groups,Product Types,Product Kits.
