Christo & Jeanne-Claude's Floating Piers, captured by Wolfgang Volz

08.2017 - In Summer 2016, Christo & Jeanne-Claude's abstract art work "The Floating Piers" on Lago d'Iseo attracted 1,2 million spectators. Photographer Wolfang Volz's pictures of the project can now be seen for the first time in Germany, at Galerie Breckner in Düsseldorf.

The vernissage on September 6 opens at 7 p.m. The event includes a talk with Wolfang Volz, who has been documenting the projects of Christo & Jeanne-Claude exclusively since 1971. From the beginning, Volz has been using ALPA equipment for his work. He currently owns an ALPA 12 SWA and ALPA was also involved as a provider in The Floating Piers.

The 36 pictures being shown in Düsseldorf are handsigned by Christo and the photographer. They show the longterm process of the project from planning level to implementation.
